4pm – National Jazz Awards 2021 winners announced, followed by 2020 National Jazz Awards winner Lauren Henderson’s performance with band members Alex Wignall on Piano, Django Rowe on Guitar, Kyrie Anderson on drums, and Bonnie Aue on bass.
Bio
Lauren Henderson is an Adelaide-based singer, composer, actor, educator and mother of two beautiful boys. A versatile musician known for her eclectic tastes in jazz, R&B/soul/hip hop, folk, music theatre and pop, she has had the pleasure of working with artists such as The Idea of North, Joe Chindamo, Nelson Dialect, Matthew Sheens, James Muller, Gian Slater, Michelle Nicolle, Anita Wardell, Anna Goldsworthy, Robyn Archer and The Lost and Found Orchestra (creators of STOMP!). Lauren has an acting degree with honours from Flinders Drama Centre.
Her accolades include:
- Helpmann Academy Vocal Jazz Award (2013)
- Downbeat Student Music Award (2013)
- Top twenty semi-finalist in the Theolonius Monk Competition for jazz voice (2015)
- Freedman Jazz Fellowship Nominee (2016)
- Winner of the National Jazz Awards - voice (2020)
Lauren is currently completing her qualification to become a certified Estill Master Trainer under the mentorship of Naomi Eyers and in 2019 her band Boomskully, released their debut E.P.
Lauren currently lectures in jazz voice at The Elder Conservatorium in Adelaide and is passionate about helping people find their voice.

However, due to the many different configurations and technologies out there, we can't guarantee your setup will work.
WIRELESS CASTING
If you are casting from a phone or laptop, you'll most likely be using Airplay or Chrome Cast.
- Airplay allows free mirroring of high quality content.. you'll have no problem.
- Chrome Cast will work perfectly on Android devices.
- Chrome Cast can be problematic if using an Idevice, requiring a premium service or third party app.
Please use the video below to verify that your device supports mirroring to your display, allowing you to experience our shows as intended.
If you experience issues in casting to your device, please do the following;
- Make sure device is capable of casting to your display
- Always use a laptop with a direct HDMI connection for best results
- Don't depend upon free chrome cast apps, as they generally do NOT support mirroring, or give sub-par results.
- Contact your device or display's support department, or check their website for more information.
